I started playing guitar when I was 13. I've been playing over 40 years now, and bring much experience and expertise in songwriting, and a wide variety of music genres.

I'm here to help you meet your musical goals.  My job is to give you the tools you need to play any kind of music you want to play.

My influences are many and varied. I started out playing acoustic guitar learning the songs of Cat Stevens, Crosby Stilles Nash & Young among others. David Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Carlos Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eric Clapton are among my favorites. Early on I tried to emulate Carlos, and later I took on the Gilmour style and tried to learn how to play those majestic melodic leads he does so well.

Music is the universal language, and is a gift you can carry with you for the rest of your life.  Music is fun and fulfilling, and after 12 years of teaching full time I still very much enjoy what I do.  It's great to see people of all ages grow, learn and express themselves in music.
